PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers have not been shy about recruiting wide receivers out of the transfer portal and they have added yet another prospect to their board this week.

According to a report from Pittsburgh Sports Now, the Panthers' coaching staff contacted Peterson after he entered the transfer portal a little over a week ago. Colorado, Jacksonville State, New Hampshire, Northwestern State, Alabama A&M, UNLV, UT Martin, Arkansas Pine Bluff, Incarnate Word, McNeese State, Rhode Island, Towson and Troy have all extended offers. Peterson has already visited Troy and has a visit to Colorado on his schedule.

This is the second time the Panthers have recruited Peterson. He was a Pitt target as a three-star prospect coming out of high school and visited during that process. He held 30 offers and chose Cincinnati over the likes of Georgia, Florida State, LSU, Louisville, Ole Miss, Penn State and Wisconsin. At 6'4 and 200 pounds, he was recruited as a tight end but played receiver primarily during his one season with the Bearcats.

After not appearing in any games during his first collegiate season and redshirting, Peterson still has four years of eligibility remaining.
