PITTSBURGH -- It took until the very last drive of the game for the Steelers offense to score points, but when the pressure reached a climax, former Pitt Panthers quarterback Kenny Pickett led his team down the field for a game-winning touchdown pass that sealed a victory over the Baltimore Ravens.

Trailing 10-8 with less than five minutes left in the fourth quarter after a muffed punt backed the defense up under the shadow of their own goalpost, former Penn State corner Joey Porter Jr. gave the Steelers second life with an interception in the endzone. Then the former Pitt quarterback took full advantage, completing four of six passes for 78 yards, the final 41 of which went to George Pickens down the sideline for a touchdown with 1:23 left in the game.

Pickett and the offense started slow, completing just seven of 15 passes for 60 yards in the first half while the unit put just three points on the board.

But the strong defense allowed them to hang around and Pickett came alive following halftime. He threw for 164 yards while completing 11 of 17 passes and tossing his lone touchdown of the afternoon to Pickens. Pickett also did not turn the ball over for just the second time this season.

Pickett is no stranger to these situations. He developed an affinity for winning late in the second half of last season. One of the highlights of the year was when he led a game-winning drive in Week 17 against the Ravens, securing a 16-13 win on Sunday Night Football with a touchdown pass to Najee Harris.

If nothing else, Pickett has proven he can perform in the clutch moments with efficiency and poise.
