Pitt HC Pat Narduzzi Teases New Uniforms
PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers have kept their uniforms simple for the past two seasons. After introducing a permanent return to the retro blue and gold in 2019, they have worn their gray alternate uniform sparingly and new blue pants upon occasion as well.
But there could be a new uniform combination on the horizon for Pitt, head coach Pat Narduzzi said in an exclusive interview with OutKick's Anthony Farris. He didn't promise major changes, but said to expect some new twists.
“We didn’t have those when I first got here, but they’re awesome," Narduzzi said. "It’s been great to get those colors back to where they’re supposed to be. And we’ll add some more flavors (of the uniform) in the next couple of years. But they certainly are nice to look at…And I wouldn’t resign if they changed the uniforms, that wouldn’t be real smart. But put it this way – I would not be real happy if someone came in and said we’re going to go back to some other colors. Wouldn’t be too happy.“
Narduzzi has teased an all-white uniform before but the Panthers have yet to debut such a look on the field for a regular season game. Recruits have posted pictures from their visits in a white uniform with white pants and the usual yellow helmet, but that's all.
