Former Pitt Star Aaron Donald Suffers Surprise Injury

The Los Angeles Rams could lose former Pitt Panthers defensive tackle Aaron Donald.

PITTSBURGH -- Former Pitt Panthers star and current Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald was a late addition to the team's Week 15 injury report, downgrading to questionable ahead of kickoff due to groin tightness, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Donald hasn't missed a game for the Rams this season, starting all 13 matchups while recording six sacks, 43 tackles, 13 tackles for loss and two pass deflections. The Rams currently sit as the 8th team in the NFC, tied with the Green Bay Packers at 6-7 for the seventh and final playoff spot.

Without Donald, the Rams would start Larrell Murchison or Desjuan Johnson at defensive tackle. Murchison has started two games this season, recording 12 tackles, while Johnson - a seventh-round rookie - has played nine games and recorded five tackles and a sack.

Los Angeles is set to kickoff against the Washington Commander in Week 15 on Sunday at 4:05 p.m. ET.
