PITTSBURGH -- 14 Pitt Panthers landed on Athlon's Preseason All-ACC team. Pitt, the reigning ACC Champions, had the most players named to the all-conference team of any school.

Defensive lineman Calijah Kancey earned first-team honors, the only Pitt player to do so, on defense after amassing 13 sacks and seven tackles for loss last season.

Three Panther defenders - defensive end Habbabuk Boldanado, safety Brandon Hill and linebacker SirVoccea Dennis - were named to the second-team defense team defense and offensive tackle Cater Warren is on the second-team offense.

Running back Israel Abanikanda, receiver Jared Wayne, tight end Gavin Bartholomew, center Owen Drexel and offensive lineman Marcus Minor made up the bulk of the third-team offense. Placekicker Sam Scarton joined them as a specialist.

Transfer wideout Konata Mumpfield and lineman Gabe Houy made it to the fourth team offense and Erick Hallet, MVP of last year's ACC Championship game, was named to the fourth team defense.
