PITTSBURGH -- Another recruit who took an official visit to see the Pitt Panthers this month announced his commitment to head coach Pat Narduzzi's program this week and in doing so helped keep the 2024 recruiting class back in the top 15 of national recruiting rankings.

With three-star wide receiver Cameron Monteiro locked in and officially added to Pitt's latest recruiting class, the Panthers sit at No. 12 in both Rivals' and 247Sports national team recruiting rankings - down slightly from their top 10 ranking from earlier in the week - and there could be more to come.

Last week, prior to Monteiro's commitment, the Panthers sat at No. 8 in Rivals' rankings and No. 11 by 247Sports' metrics. They moved down, but took only modest drops.

On3 also dropped Pitt but only by two spots from No. 29 to No. 31 in their rankings.

The Panthers are hoping that when four-star Aliquippa linebacker reveals his college decision later this week, they'll be able to add one more blue-chip prospect to their elite recruiting class. He'll pick between Pitt, Penn State, West Virginia and Cincinnati.
