PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers reached across the country to extend an offer to an under-recruiting linebacker from California.

D'Avion Coffee announced on Twitter that he had added an offer from Pitt to his list. It is his fourth offer from an FBS School. The multi-faceted athlete plays cornerback, wide receiver and linebacker.

Coffee attends Myrtle Beach Collegiate High School in Inglewood, California, about a 30 minute drive south of Los Angeles. 247Sports is the only of the major recruiting services to award the 6'0, 200-pound linebacker a rating and they have him pegged as a three-star player and the No. 195 linebacker in the country.

He holds offers from Ole Miss, Marshall, Colorado State and now Pitt. Colorado, UCLA, Utah, Cal and San Jose State have all shown varying levels of interest. He also took an unofficial visit to Syracuse last spring and visited Nevada and UNLV as well.
