PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers have moved quickly and furiously during the month of June, adding a dozen commitments and racing up recruiting rankings with each passing addition to their 2024 class.

The Panthers landed one of their biggest commitments of the cycle just this week when four-star Aliquippa linebacker Cam Lindsey chose Pitt over West Virginia, Penn State and Cincinnati. In keeping the Western Pennsylvania star at home, the Panthers took hold of the top recruiting class in the ACC.

After Lindsey was officially added to the class, Rivals elevated Pitt from No. 12 in their national team recruiting rankings to No. 8, leapfrogging Clemson and Florida State to earn the top class in their conference.

The Panthers currently sit at No. 9 in 247Sports' national rankings, one spot behind Clemson for the No. 2 class in the ACC. Pitt's 19 named commitments are tied for the most in the country and four more have yet to reveal their identities.
