PITTSBURGH -- The Pitt Panthers could be on the verge of adding another defensive back to a 2024 recruiting class already loaded with them. Following an official visit to Pittsburgh, safety Reggie Powers is ready to commit.

Powers, a four-star prospect from Dayton, Ohio out of Centerville High School, will be announcing his college decision on June 14 at 6:30 pm and pick between a final five that includes Pitt, Cincinnati, Michigan State, Ohio State and Northwestern.

Powers is ranked as high as the No. 12 player in Ohio and the No. 34 safety in the class by On3, who is also the only recruiting service to rank him as a four-star. ESPN, Rivals and 247Sports all consider him a three-star prospect.

He cut a lengthy list of offers that included West Virginia, Louisville, Duke, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, Iowa State, Virginia, UConn, Boston College and others. Notre Dame and Tennessee have expressed interest but not offered.
