PITTSBURGH -- Following an impressive showing at the Elite 11 Finals this summer, four-star quarterback Trever Jackson's recruitment has gotten a second wind.

Since visiting Pitt in early June, Jackson has also taken a trip to Texas A&M and added offers from Maryland, Oklahoma, UCLA and Ole Miss, making his potential path to becoming a Panther that much more difficult. According to a report from Rivals' John Garcia Jr., several schools are now competing to get Jackson on campus before the official visit window ends later this month.

Garcia added that the timeline for Jackson's commitment has been pushed back as new suitors throw their hat into the ring. It's now more likely that Jackson will push his recruitment into the fall so he can gain more familiarity with the new programs now in the mix.

The Panthers currently do not have a quarterback committed to their 2024 recruiting class and they'd be more than happy to add Jackson, who's rated as a four-star prospect by On3 and ESPN. He's ranked as high as the No. 31 player in Florida, No. 9 quarterback and No. 203 overall prospect in the class of 2024.
