No football team ever wants to see an injury list littered with players, and unfortunately for South Carolina right now, that's the reality they're having to face. Certain players like wide receiver Juice Wells and defensive end Jatius Geer have been dealing with injuries since preseason camp, while others like Nick Emmanwori and Mohamed Kaba have gone down during the first two weeks of the season.

As if these injuries aren't bad enough, the Gamecocks are set for a showdown with the back-to-back national champs in the Georgia Bulldogs in Athens on Saturday afternoon, making it a game where Shane Beamer would love to have all hands on deck on both sides of the ball. Speaking with the media on Sunday night in his weekly teleconference call, the Gamecocks third-year head man told the media that, in essence, some guys are progressing, while others' status remain up in the air.

Offensive lineman Markee Anderson and edge rusher Jatius Geer are probable for the CBS showdown, while everyone else, including Nick Emmanwori, Keenan Nelson Jr., David Spaulding, and Ahmarean Brown, are questionable. It would leave the secondary in a tough bind if most of the aforementioned defensive backs can't go, as the nickel corner spot could come down to Kajuan Banks and a who's who of other players.
