ICYMI: Spencer Rattler Receives G-Wagon As Part Of NIL Deal With Mercedes-Benz
In this new era of NIL that's been infused in the sport of college football, star players all across the sport can now benefit from what they bring to the field, their program, and their respective school. Spencer Rattler is one of the first quarterbacks in the sport that's gotten the chance to take advantage of the opportunities presented to him, and he's been able to do just that.
From signing autographs at a minor league baseball game, to meet and greets at a local car wash, many local businesses have wanted to create bonds with the Gamecocks' star quarterback. However, his most notable NIL deal to date has been with a local Dick Dyer Mercedes-Benz dealership, which he signed this past December. Now, as a part of that deal, Rattler finds himself with a new set of wheels, rocking a new G-Wagon before the start of Fall camp.
Rattler isn't the first Gamecock football star who's capitalized off his name, image, and likeness this offseason. His fellow co-star on the offensive side of the ball, wide receiver Antwane "Juice" Wells, has racked up the most NIL deals of any player in the SEC. In that same position group, Nyckoles Harbor, who hasn't even taken a snap yet for South Carolina, has signed multiple NIL deals with fashion and electronic companies this offseason.
South Carolina is proving to be a program where players can face the best competition and perfect their craft in preparation for the next level and make a good living doing so in the process.
