Participants & Date Announced For South Carolina's Pro Day
South Carolina took another step forward in returning to national relevancy this past fall. One of the big catalysts for this progression was the leadership and sheer talent displayed by a bevy of Gamecock upperclassmen.
Since the end of the 2022 regular season, a core group of players who became the bedrock for the Gamecocks' rise off the mat over the last two seasons have been training rigorously, participating in all-star games, and hiring agents to prepare for their shot at the professional level.
While some of these players will be able to participate on a much bigger stage in the NFL Combine throughout the latter portion of this week, Pro Day will provide an opportunity for other NFL hopefuls to show pro scouts what they could offer their respective teams. On Monday, South Carolina announced that their Pro Day will take place on March the 13th and will include the following players:
- Nate Adkins, TE
- Christian Beal-Smith, RB
- Jalen Brooks, WR
- Josh Vann, WR
- Eric Douglas, OL
- Jovaughn Gwyn, OL
- Dylan Wonnum, OL
- Zacch Pickens, DT
- Sherrod Greene, ILB
- Brad Johnson, ILB
- Cam Smith, CB
- Darius Rush, CB
- Devonni Reed, S
The day will consist of measurements of physical intangibles such as height and weight, wingspan, and hand size, along with a field testing portion, including the 40-yard dash, broad jump, short shuttle, and 3-cone drills. The event will be closed to the general public.
