Xavier Legette Has A "VERY Strong Day" At Reese's Senior Bowl Practice No. 2
Former Gamecock wideout Xavier Legette is in Mobile, Alabama this week alongside former South Carolina quarterback Spencer Rattler for the Reese's Senior Bowl. A lot of the chatter about Legette coming out of day one of practice was not particularly positive. Some media outlets and, frankly, "Social Media Scouts", were quick to say that Legette may not be worth a high draft pick.
However, Xavier was seemingly more himself in practice No. 2 on Wednesday and displayed what Carolina fans had grown accustomed to seeing this past Fall. ESPN NFL Analyst and former director of player personnel, Louis Riddick, made glowing remarks regarding how Legette looked on the field.
After this post, several respectable people in football, including the Executive Director of the Reese's Senior Bowl, Jim Nagy, defended Legette's performance from day one and claimed too many people had overacted to day one.
Many see Xavier Legette as a potential late first-round to early second-round draft pick, and if Legette can continue to stack good practices and perform well at the Senior Bowl, he may continue to see his draft stock continue to climb.
