D'Nas White Includes Gamecocks In Top 5

Three-star defensive tackle D’Nas White has cut his recruitment down to five schools and included South Carolina's football program on his list.

Three-Star Defensive Linemen D'Nas White announced earlier today that after receiving offers from dozens of nationwide high-level programs, he had narrowed his list to five schools. The five schools that have made White's shortlist are Tennessee, Florida State, Georgia, South Carolina, and Coastal Carolina. 

By narrowing his list to these top five schools, White has shown he's ready to take the next step in his journey. The Gamecocks are viewed as a heavy favorite in White's recruitment because they have hosted the Jay M Robinson product for three separate visits, including an official visit the weekend of June 2nd through the 4th.

The rising senior from North Carolina has dazzled scouts with his size, agility, and raw power. The 6-foot-3, 330-pound defensive tackle has gained national attention for his ability to disrupt offensive lines and make plays in the backfield.

Recruiting White continues to push the emphasis this staff has put forward and recruit the trenches at an elite level. Shane, Beamer, and the South Carolina football program know to compete at an elite level in the SEC continuously, they will have to continue to go after guys like White. Regardless of where D'Nas White eventually commits to, one thing is for sure: White will add a significant presence to their defensive line and help clog up those running lanes.
