Ernest Willor Jr. Working On OV To South Carolina
This past weekend, 2024 edge prospect Ernest Willor Jr. did a YouTube interview with Rivals.com, revealing that he is currently setting up his official visits, one of which was to the South Carolina Gamecocks. Ernest is considered the top uncommitted prospect for them remaining at the edge position since the addition of five-star edge rusher Dylan Stewart is someone they think having alongside Dylan could create nightmares for opposing offensive linemen. Just like Stewart, Ernest Willor is from the DMV, an area that consists of Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia, and one that South Carolina has recruited heavily since Shane Beamer's arrival.
Some other schools that will also be getting an official visit from Ernest are Penn State, Maryland, Auburn, and Ohio State, a bevy of familiar programs South Carolina has gone head-to-head with for prospects from the DMV area. Ernest also mentioned that he will be signing in the early signing period in December and will enroll early at the school he commits to, so all of these teams will have to sell him on their school pretty quickly.
The Gamecocks might have the best selling point for him, with a handful of DMV players currently on the roster and some DMV commits in the class. Beamer and Co. are also recruiting another DMV native in four-star offensive line prospect Jordan Seaton, who plays with Ernest at IMG Academy and will take an OV to Carolina later this Fall. They have a lot of people around him that can help sell why the Gamecocks might be the best place for him to call home, so this will be a recruitment to keep an eye moving forward Gamecock fans.
