South Carolina Men's Basketball Portal Tracker
South Carolina's Men's Basketball team finished off a tumultuous first season under Lamont Paris with a loss to Ole Miss in the SEC Tournament. However, Coach Paris' Gamecocks showed some progress on the floor at different points of the season, securing an early season victory over rival Clemson which contributed to keeping the Tigers out of the NCAA Tournament, and defeating Kentucky in Rupp Arena for just the third time in program history.
This gives the Gamecocks staff some much needed ammunition this offseason in terms of the transfer portal, and creates a grand opportunity to bolster South Carolina's roster with extra talent for the upcoming season. This past season, transfers like Ohio State's Meechie Johnson and the Citadel's Hayden Brown made immediate impacts as the team's second and third leading scorers, a fact that may help create an enticing pitch for prospective portal targets.
