BREAKING: Cam Scott Announces His Decision
The state of South Carolina has produced an abundance of elite basketball talent over the years, with recent examples like Zion Williamson, PJ Dozier, GG Jackson, and Khris Middleton coming to mind. Lexington High School's Cam Scott is the latest in this great line of high school superstars, having broken his high school's all-time scoring record before his senior season and putting together multiple great performances in Nike's Elite Youth Basketball League this past Spring.
However, Cam knew that he eventually had to decide where he was taking his talents at the next level, and he did so on Friday afternoon, committing to the Texas Longhorns. It's a tough blow for South Carolina's basketball program, having yet another one of the state's top prospects take their talents to a different area of the country.
Lamont Paris and his staff hosted Scott for four separate visits, according to Cam's On3 profile, but it's clear that what the Longhorns had to offer seemed more appealing to the rising senior leading into his big moment.
