Lamont Paris and his coaching staff are currently going through their first full offseason at South Carolina, one's that pivotal due to the amount of turnover the roster has seen with players leaving through the transfer portal, Hayden Brown exhausting all of his eligibility and GG Jackson having entered his name into the NBA Draft pool. These departures, however, give Paris and Co. the opportunity to bring in players who can both help the Gamecocks in areas they're lacking and also fit the coaching staff's overall scheme on both ends of the floor.

That particular phase began last week with the addition of Minnesota transfer guard Ta'Lon Cooper, who'll give South Carolina more flexibility at the guard spots heading into next season. This continued on Monday morning, as On3's Joe Tipton reported that Citadel transfer Forward Stephen Clark had officially committed to South Carolina.

Clark was a key cog for the Citadel Bulldogs last season, as he averaged a career high 16.3 points per game, along with 6.5 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game. Stephen Clark's arrival in Columbia will greatly help to offset the losses of guys like GG Jackson and Hayden Brown, both of whom played significant minutes at the four spot for the Gamecocks this past winter.
