The Aggies are in the middle of a coaching search, but it's business as usual on the field as bowl predictions continue. On Sunday, Texas A&M fired Jimbo Fisher and elevated Elijah Robinson.

Even as A&M prepares for a home matchup against Abilene Christian on Saturday, the business of on-field football continues.

The Aggies became bowl-eligible for the 2023 season - ironically in Fisher's final game - with a 51-10 win over Mississippi State last Saturday. Now, CBS Sports predicts a matchup between Texas A&M and the Wisconsin Badgers in the Music City Bowl on Dec. 30 in Nashville.

The Aggies have one game on record in the Music City Bowl, a 27-21 loss to the Louisville Cardinals in 2015. The Cardinals were led by now-Aggies offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino and quarterback and eventual 2016 Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson.

Jake Hubenak led the way for A&M - who was coached by Kevin Sumlin - with 28-of-48 passing for 307 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. Jackson passed for 227 yards and two touchdowns on just 12 completions but ran for 226 yards on 22 carries and two additional scores.

A&M missed out on a bowl game last season after a 5-7 record, and the prior year after qualifying, but not having enough players to play due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

The Aggies beat North Carolina 41-27 in the Orange Bowl in 2020 and beat Oklahoma State in the Texas Bowl 24-21 in 2019.

Overall, Texas A&M boasts a 20-22 all-time record in bowl games.
