The Tennessee Volunteers have had a tough week on the recruiting trail. They lost out on three targets earlier this week but hope to end that dry spell this afternoon. Four-star offensive guard William Satterwhite (Akron, Oh.) announces his college decision on Friday, choosing between the Vols and Clemson.

Tennessee was the No. 1 suitor for months, but a Clemson official visit earlier this summer evened things out. However, the Vols did an excellent job on Satterwhite's later official visit to Knoxville, pitching him on family and culture. Offensive line coach Glen Elarbee identified Satterwhite early in the process and pushed hard to land him.

He flashes a lot of upside on tape. Satterwhite has an innate ability to frame his blocks downfield, a requirement for college offensive linemen. It's why two major programs went into Big Ten country and worked so hard to end up as finalists. Satterwhite plays right tackle in high school but is a natural fit at guard in college.

Tennessee feels optimistic heading into the decision, and they offer a natural scheme fit for Satterwhite. He has excellent hands in pass protection and ensures he gets appropriate depth in his sets. Tennessee routinely asks guards to get depth for a few seconds before the ball is out; Satterwhite would thrive in a system like that.
