Four-star offensive tackle Max Anderson recently altered his official visit date with the Tennessee Volunteers.

The Vols have several big weekends coming up. They are hosting several major talents each weekend, beginning with five-star linebacker Sammy Brown this Friday. One major target recently altered his official visit date, moving the timeline up a little bit.

Four-star offensive tackle Max Anderson plays his high school football for Reedy High School in Frisco, Texas. He cut his list down to eight on March 23, with Tennessee included. Before that, though, he had announced an official visit to Tennessee. On February 28, he said he would be coming to Knoxville on June 24 via Twitter.

On Thursday, however, he tweeted that he would be coming to Knoxville a little earlier and be there from June 9-11. There could be various reasons for this change, but it is encouraging for Tennessee to see his eagerness to be in Knoxville. Multiple recruiting experts have already crystal balled the 6-foot-5-inch, 305-pound offensive lineman to Tennessee, with Anderson even retweeting in support. A few weekends from now, the coaching staff will likely deliver their closing pitch and attempt to get Anderson in the class as soon as possible. He will be joined by five-star defensive end Williams Nwaneri, the No. 1 player on Tennessee's board at this time.

On the field, Anderson has versatility along the line, with experience at multiple positions. He has great athleticism and can move well, even with his phenomenal size. He punishes defensive linemen in the run game and finishes plays with authority. It is more and more likely that he will not just be in Knoxville for a weekend in June but for several Saturdays each fall after he graduates in 2024.
