UCLA Football: NFL Draft Analyst Looking Forward To This Matchup In Upcoming Game

This could be one of the games of the week!

Anytime a college sporting event is taking place, you can bet that draft experts are watching and evaluating the individual players that they see. Especially within college football, it is never too early to start preparing for the upcoming draft season.

For the UCLA Bruins football team, they boast some strong draft prospects. UCLA has given the NFL some excellent talent lately, so draft analysts have started to watch them more closely in recent years.

Especially since head coach Chip Kelly took over, the Bruins have seen major success with their program. Kelly helped put multiple players from the Oregon Ducks on the map, and he is doing the same with the Bruins.

The ESPN NFL Draft staff members looked at some of the upcoming matchups and gave the player-matchups they were interested in seeing. One of them comes from the Bruins game against Utah this weekend.

“Week 4 features undefeated UCLA at undefeated Utah, and it's another chance to impress for edge rusher Laiatu Latu, who I moved up last week to No. 18 on my Big Board. He has 14.5 sacks over his past 15 games, including four in three games this season. He'll see a lot of time against tackle Sataoa Laumea, who at 6-foot-4 and 311 pounds likely will end up as a guard at the next level. Latu is a strip-sack machine, and if he can create turnovers in this one, the Bruins could pull off a huge road victory.”

The biggest storyline in this game will be how the UCLA defense fares against the Utah offensive line. The Bruins have started the year exceptionally well on defense, but Utah is a different kind of test for them.

The Utes are one of the best teams in the league, so the Bruins defense will need to be aggressive and ready to attack. Latu will likely play a massive role in this game, and if he can be his dominant self, the Bruins could grab a massive victory.

This matchup could dictate the outcome of the game and makes for a fun watch in-game. And this showdown could end up being one of the games of the week, so make sure to tune in!
