Players have begun reporting to spring training, and spring training games will start being played later this week.

The Houston Astros will play their first spring training game Sat., Feb. 25 at their spring training home in West Palm Beach, Florida at the Ballpark of the Palm Beaches. They will host the New York Mets, who are hot off a 101-win season.

Here's a look at the Astros' entire spring training schedule:

The Astros will play an exhibition game against Team Venezuela on Mar. 8, in the lead-up to the World Baseball Classic.

Nine of the Astros spring training games will be aired on television. The following eight games will run exclusively on AT&T Sportsnet:

The Astros' Tue., Feb. 28 game at the New York Mets from Clover Park in Port St. Lucie, Florida will air on ESPN, with Kevin Brown, Jessica Mendoza and Tim Kurkjian on the broadcast.

Perhaps 2022 American League Cy Young Award winner Justin Verlander will pitch against his former team, in one of the Astros' spring training games against the Mets.

After winning his third Cy Young Award, Verlander said goodbye to the Astros, signing a two-year, $86.7 million contract with the Mets. The signing reunites the star pitcher with former teammate Max Scherzer. The two pitched together with the Detroit Tigers until 2015, when Scherzer signed a free agent contract with the Washington Nationals.

With Verlander out, top prospect Hunter Brown could get a chance to shine in the Astros rotation this season. Brown tossed 20.1 innings, making two starts in seven games, allowing just two runs and 15 hits to the tune of a 0.89 ERA and 1.08 WHIP last September.
