Toronto Blue Jays Manager John Schneider Talks Tense Series with New York Yankees
The Toronto Blue Jays just lost three of four games to the New York Yankees -- at home.
The series was very, very tense and included allegations of possible sign stealing from the Blue Jays broadcast team against the Yanks, Domingo German getting ejected for sticky stuff usage, Aaron Judge making team history, and Chris Bassitt joining an exclusive club in his own teams history.
Speaking on Friday on MLB Network Radio on SiriusXM, Blue Jays manager John Schneider addressed the series and more.
You can hear his full comments below but can also see a partial transcript here.
"I think it's two division teams that are both good and both enjoy competing against one another... our guy may have a tell and you want to see how it's being used, and you want to combat that too... I think every other team that plays the Yankees will be on guard probably a little bit because of what happened these last four games. I just think for us, overall, looking back at the series, if you handle Aaron Judge you're in a good starting spot with them."
The Blue Jays are currently 25-19 and in a tie for third place in the division. They'll open up a huge series with the second-place Baltimore Orioles on Friday night at 7:07 p.m. ET. Yusei Kikuchi will pitch against Kyle Gibson.
For the Yankees, they are also tied for third and are 26-20. They'll open up a series with the Cincinnati Reds on Friday.
