Over the past several years, there has been a proliferation of different sneaker brands represented in the NBA. Small American brands and large international companies have all gained a foothold in the world's top basketball league.

Earlier this weekend, Los Angeles Clippers guard Terance Mann offered fans a glimpse of a possible major storyline in the world of performance basketball shoes. The Clippers' social media team posted pictures of Mann training in a new pair of Skechers sneakers.

Currently, there are no NBA players signed with Skechers. Additionally, a quick search on the brand's website will show there is not a basketball shoes section. If a possible sneaker deal between Mann and Skechers is in the works, it would be a massive victory for the Southern California-based company.

In 2019, Mann started his professional career wearing Nike shoes before switching to the Chinese brand ANTA in 2021. At the time of this article, Skechers is a $7 billion company and one of the most ubiquitous brands in the United States. Not to mention, multiple MLB players represent Skechers on the baseball diamond.

The more basketball sneaker brands, the better for athletes and fans. Competition on the floor and in stores across the world equals more innovation. Stay locked into FanNationKicks.com for all your sneaker news.
