Angels Notes: Halos Salvage A Win Against The Astros, Shohei Ohtani to Take A Break, Logan O'Hoppe Making Progress and More
It wasn't the greatest weekend in the Lone Star State for the Los Angeles Angels, but they got a 2-1 win on Sunday behind a strong outing from Chase Silseth, a key double from Mickey Moniak, and Shohei Ohtani's 41st home run of the season to salvage one win out of the three game series. They'll continue their stay in Texas when they take on their division rival Rangers beginning Monday evening.
In other news, the Angels two-way superstar is taking a pause, as Ohtani will miss his next start on the mound after being affected by fatigue and cramping for weeks. On the positive side, Halos catcher Logan O'Hoppe is continuing to make progress on his rehab assignment as he looks to return soon from a torn labrum. You can read about all that and more -- including an update on Mike Trout -- below!
