Thursday was the greatest day possible for the Halos. They made it known that Shohei Ohtani would be staying in Anaheim. Then they traded for Lucas Giolito in a true statement that they were going for the playoffs. Then Friday hit, and the weekend opener didn't go well.

Giolito made his Angels debut, but the Halos lost 4-1 to the Toronto Blue Jays. Shortly before the game, shortstop Zach Neto was scratched from the starting lineup after his back tightness flared up again. And Ohtani had to leave the game in a key spot, just before his team came up short. It's not all doom and gloom though, and you can read all the latest news below!
