Lineup, how to watch Atlanta's series finale against the Miami Marlins

The Braves go for a sweep behind newly-recalled Dylan Dodd, facing off against fellow lefty Jesus Luzardo

The Atlanta Braves haven't been good in series finales.

They're 3-6 in series finales this season, with all three wins coming in series sweeps (at St. Louis, home vs Cincinnati, at Kansas City) in early to mid-April. The Braves have lost the last four series finales they've played, being outscored nine to sixteen in the four games.

Atlanta's looking to break that streak today against Miami.

Lineup

Michael Harris II, who left yesterday's game for precautionary reasons with a knee issue, gets the day off, with Kevin Pillar playing centerfield and batting 9th. Marcell Ozuna, who has the two best games of his season on this trip to Miami, is back at DH and bats 7th.

Pitching matchup

Today's starter for Atlanta is Dylan Dodd. He's started two games for Atlanta this season, a 4-1 win in St. Louis where he pitched five innings with six hits, one run, and three strikeouts with no walks, followed by a clunker against the Padres at home where he was tagged for ten hits and seven runs in 4.1 innings before being sent back down to Gwinnett.

Dodd's first two starts in Gwinnett were great, going 1-0 with a 1.54 ERA in 11.2 innings combined against Memphis (St. Louis affiliate) and Omaha (Royals affiliate) with twelve strikeouts. He then stumbled in his last start against Buffalo (Blue Jays affiliate) on April 28th, taking the loss after three innings with six hits, six runs, and one walk to four strikeouts. He was lined up to start today for Gwinnett, but has flown to Miami and will pitch for the big league club instead.

Opposing Dodd is fellow lefty Jesus Luzardo. He's 2-1 with a 3.48 ERA in 6 starts this season, with 38 strikeouts and 11 walks in his 33.2 innings pitched on the season. He did not start against Atlanta in the previous series, but he's faced the Braves four times in his career. He's 2-2, with a 4.26 ERA and 30 strikeouts in nineteen career innings against Atlanta. Amongst current Braves, Austin Riley has the largest sample size, going 4-11 with two doubles and a RBI, while backup catcher Chadwick Tromp is 2-2 with 2 RBIs and Matt Olson is 1-9 with a homerun (and five strikeouts) against the Marlins lefty.

How to Watch

Today's a mid afternoon start, at 4:10 ET.
