Matt Olson launches a home run to give the Braves a 2-0 lead in the first

This is Olson’s 13th home run and RBIs 33 and 34

Matt Olson hit a 405 foot two-run home run on the third pitch of the game to give the Braves a 2-0 lead. Acuña led off the game with a line drive to center field for a base hit. Acuña continues to be a dominate force at the top of the lineup.

Olson now has thirteen home runs on the season. Olson has struggled with strikeouts this season, but his power continues to help put runs on the board for the Braves. These two RBI’s now give him thirty-four on the season.

Coming in to tonight’s game, the Braves had scored fifteen runs within the games first ten pitches, which is the most in Major League Baseball.

Jumping out to an early lead gives the Braves some breathing room as they look to the bullpen to guide them through tonight’s game.
