WATCH: Ronald Acuña Jr launches a home run to open Sunday's game

The Braves slugger gets the offense started with a mammoth home run to left field

We talked yesterday in the takeaways (and this morning in the briefing and the lineup/how to watch story) about how Atlanta's offense has struggled in this Toronto series, scoring only two runs on nine hits in eighteen innings.

Let's make that three runs.

Ronald Acuña launched a MAMMOTH home run to left field on a 1-1 count to open the game, on an elevated fastball from Blue Jays starter Yusei Kikuchi.

Here's the video:

Ronald launched that one 421 feet into the 2nd deck in Toronto, coming off the bat at 114.1 mph. It's his 28th career leadoff homer, and with the bomb, Acuña is on pace for 32 homeruns and 69 stolen bases this season as he attempts to get a 40/40 season for only the fifth time in MLB history.
