Padres Notes: Slumpers Gonna Slump, New Mock Draft Alert, Number One Prospect Set For Futures Game
Trailing 8-4 in the top of the seventh inning, the Padres needed a spark to stay alive in their series opener against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Juan Soto, who has been arguably the team’s best player this season, stepped up to the plate and delivered a crushing hit that cleared the back wall. In other news, Bob Melvin assured fans that there is "a lot of baseball left." Let's just get to the All-Star break, huh?
