This is the first time in five years that the Cleveland Cavaliers will not have their focus totally set on the NBA Draft. Their rebuild being is seemingly complete when Cleveland traded for Donovan Mitchell last year and now they look to fill the holes.

The NBA Draft Lottery was held on Tuesday night with the Cavs not having any balls in the machine. The final order of the NBA Draft following the lottery is as follows:

  1. San Antonio Spurs
  2. Charlotte Hornets
  3. Portland Trail Blazers
  4. Houston Rockets
  5. Detroit Pistons
  6. Orlando Magic
  7. Indiana Pacers
  8. Washington Wizards
  9. Utah Jazz
  10. Dallas Mavericks
  11. Chicago Bulls
  12. Oklahoma City Thunder
  13. Toronto Raptors
  14. New Orleans Pelicans
  15. Atlanta Hawks
  16. Jazz (via Timberwolves)
  17. Los Angeles Lakers
  18. Miami Heat
  19. Golden State Warriors
  20. Rockets (via Los Angeles Clippers)
  21. Brooklyn Nets (via Phoenix Suns)
  22. Nets
  23. Trail Blazers (via Knicks)
  24. Sacramento Kings
  25. Memphis Grizzlies
  26. Indiana Pacers (via Cleveland Cavaliers)
  27. Hornets (via Denver Nuggets)
  28. Jazz (via Philadelphia 76ers)
  29. Pacers (via Boston Celtics)
  30. Clipper (via Milwaukee Bucks)

If things remain the same then the Cavs will not have a first-round in this year's draft. There's always the off chance that the team could trade into the first round if there's a prospect they like, but that doesn't seem; likely considering the roster.

They do have a late second-round pick at 49.

Watching the draft with Cleveland not being in the top picks will be strange. Fans have grown accustomed over the last few years to studying the draft class, looking at mock drafts, and considering different trade scenarios.

Just because the Cavs won't be drafted super high in the draft doesn't mean fans should tune out of the festivities in June 22. The draft night is typically a very busy time for all teams regardless of where they're drafting.

Cleveland will likely be one of those teams that are very active on the trade market.
