Can't wait to play 2K24!
In this story:

The newest edition of the NBA 2K video game series was announced recently and this year, it will be graced by the late, great Kobe Bryant on the cover. NBA 2K24 will feature multiple editions like always and will likely be a top selling game once again. Basketball fans all around the world flock to grab a copy of the game each year and with Bryant on the cover, it should be no different this time around.

With this new announcement for this years edition has come some 2k player rating leaks. While these can change before the final edition of the game comes out, it’s still interesting to see some of the top ratings. The highest rating in the game comes in at 97 with five different players holding that number, including one member of your Los Angeles Lakers.

Nikola Jokic, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Luka Doncic, Joel Embiid and LeBron James are all the highest ranked players. Many may wonder why James is still one of the top players in the game at his 38-year-old age but that just shows how great of a player he is.

"You could argue that 38-year-old LeBron might not be a top-five player in the league anymore, but even at his advanced age, the all-time leading scorer is up there."

Per Comicbook.com

Last season, despite missing time due to injury, James averaged 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds and 6.8 assists per game. He was again special for the Lakers and helped them make it all the way to the Western Conference Finals.

James hinted that he may retire at the end of the season but all signs are pointing to him returning for another year in LA.

2K ratings obviously don't mean anything in the grand scheme of things but it's still a cool way to show how effective different players are. The game itself has been a success and continues to be each and every year.
