The Los Angeles Lakers will have their third new starting lineup of the season as they take on the Houston Rockets on Wednesday evening.

Anthony Davis is set to miss his first game of the season with his hip spasms, meaning Christian Wood is slotting into the starting five.

He's getting his first start of the year, and will be alongside the usuals — D'Angelo Russell, Austin Reaves, Taurean Prince and LeBron James.

Wood has been extremely solid for the Lakers this year, but they will obviously miss AD's presence on both sides of the court on Wednesday night.

But even more so, the Lakers will be missing their bench presence, as Jaxson HayesGabe Vincent, Jarred Vanderbilt and Jalen Hood-Schifino were all ruled out with different injuries.

The only bright spot of the day was the fact that Rui Hachimura cleared concussion protocol and was upgraded to available. However, aside from Hachimura, Cam Reddish and Max Christie, there are tons of question marks regarding the rest of the rotation on Wednesday.

Could Colin Castleton get his first NBA minutes as the Lakers' backup big man? Will Lebron see minutes at the five?

Darvin Ham will have to answer these questions and more in Wednesday's contest.

The Lakers are as shorthanded as they've been all year, and risk dropping to 3-5 with a loss.

Tip-off for Wednesday's game is 5:00 p.m. PT. Click here for viewing information.
