NFL Defensive Back Tony Jefferson Recruits Kevin Durant to Phoenix
Rumors of Kevin Durant joining the Phoenix Suns have swirled all offseason, and despite no legitimate NBA source vouching for his presence in the Valley, the demand for Durant to switch teams has been high.
We've seen oddsmakers pin the Suns as the top destination for Durant should he leave Brooklyn. We've also seen many fans try and connect as many dots as possible for KD to move to Phoenix, whether it be his favorable comments on coach Monty Williams or his relationship with Suns guard Devin Booker.
However, Durant has remained adamant since joining Brooklyn a few years ago that he is insistent on winning a title there. With James Harden out of the picture and Kyrie Irving reportedly having issues with Brooklyn on his upcoming player option for next season, now would be an ideal time for Durant to jump ship and join an immediate playoff team that needs his scoring presence to get over the hump.
Many believe the Suns would be a great fit for Durant, and you can count Baltimore Ravens defensive back Tony Jefferson in his recruitment.
Tony Jefferson Recruits KD to Phoenix
This isn't the first time, or superstar, Jefferson has tried to recruit on Twitter.
Jefferson, a native of San Diego, played for the Arizona Cardinals from 2013-16.
Despite not being in Phoenix, he's maintained his love for Suns basketball.
Jefferson even played as the Suns in a friendly game with Los Angeles Chargers receiver Keenan Allen, which was streamed on Twitch.
Will Jefferson's efforts pay off and help Durant get to Phoenix? Surely the prize for his help would be sweet in that scenario.
However the situation in Brooklyn plays out, there's numerous (and notable) fans that want Durant in a Suns uniform.
