With 38 points in his playoff debut, Sacramento Kings guard De'Aaron Fox became just the third player in NBA history with that many points in their first playoff game. Fox's 38 points are tied for the second-most all-time in a playoff debut, and trail only Luka Doncic's 42 for the most ever in a playoff debut.

After the game, Fox said, "This being my first playoff game, I wanted to know what the physicality would be like. The first half I kinda had to get adjusted to it, but in the second half I got a rhythm, my teammates continued to get me to my spots, and I just did what they want me to do."

Fox shouted out his teammates several times in his postgame interview, making sure to give them credit for this huge Game 1 victory. While Sacramento has a long way to go before winning the series, this is a huge momentum boost for a team looking to take down the defending champion Warriors.

Showing real poise down the stretch, Fox was able to emulate his countless clutch performances during the regular season, and put away a Warriors team that fought until the last possession. Making history in his playoff debut, Fox showed why so many Kings fans are optimistic about their team's chances in this series.
