Kevin Hanson joins SI for the 2019 season. His fantasy rankings have placed him in the Top 20 in each of the past two seasons among all the industry experts tracked by FantasyPros.com, and he has been in the Top 25 in six of the past eight years.

Check out more of Kevin’s rankings: QB, RB, WRDST, flex and kicker.

TE Start of the Week: Gerald Everett, Los Angeles Rams (vs. CHI)

A little more than halfway through his third season, Everett has set career highs in both receptions (34) and yards (365) in 2019. In addition, he set season highs last week with eight catches on 12 targets that he converted into 68 yards.

Everett has had a couple of quiet games, but he also has double-digit targets in the other three games over his past five played. Over that five-game stretch, Everett has 23 catches for 278 yards and a touchdown. The Bears have allowed the seventh-most fantasy points to the position this season.

TE Sit of the Week: T.J. Hockenson, Detroit Lions (vs. DAL)

The Cowboys have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to the position. The rookie had a favorable matchup last week against the Bears, and he parlayed his six targets into three catches for 47 yards, although he had zero points through the first three quarters.

Hockenson has scored just two touchdowns all season and none over his past five games. Especially if Matthew Stafford (back) is unable to return this week, it’s difficult to trust that Hockenson will capitalize on the favorable matchup.
