CINCINNATI — Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow continues to recover from his calf strain.

The 26-year-old is making good progress. He went through a full throwing session on Friday prior to Cincinnati's 36-19 loss to Green Bay in the preseason opener.

Rookie wide receiver Andrei Iosivas and his teammates have taken note of Burrow's focus and recovery.

"We all know he's taking his recovery super seriously. You come in in the morning [and] his car's already here," Iosivas told All Bengals. "He's not coming to practice because he's doing the rehab. You know what kinda competitor he is and what he wants to achieve this year. He's doing everything in his power to get back."

Burrow suffered the injury on July 27. Friday was his first time throwing publicly since the injury

"We all want him to just take it slowly and heal fully," he said. "It's nice seeing him recovering at a good pace."
