Bengals Beat Out Jets and Steelers to Land Orlando Brown in Free Agency

The 26-year-old agreed to a four-year, $64 million contract.

CINCINNATI — The Bengals made a giant splash on Wednesday night when the agreed to sign Orlando Brown Jr. to a four-year, $64 million contract. 

Multiple teams were vying for Brown's services, including the Jets and Steelers according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

The Bengals gave Brown a $31 million bonus and essentially guaranteed the first three years of the contract to get the deal done. 

He's a value signing at $16 million per season. It's hard to land star left tackles in this league and the Bengals were able to do it in free agency. It's a huge addition to an offensive line that has struggled at left tackle since Andrew Whitworth signed with the Rams in 2017.
