DJ Turner: 'I Have Speed, But That's Not The Only Thing I Have'

Cincinnati selected Turner in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft.

CINCINNATI — New Bengals cornerback DJ Turner has the speed to stamp out big receiving performances, but he's looking to bring a well-rounded game into the league.

Turner was tops in the entire NFL draft class with a 4.26 40-yard dash time.

"It's going be a major part of my game and stuff like that," Turner said. "I have speed, but that's not the only thing I have. Like I said, the IQ, communication, just a whole bunch of stuff. The confidence level, you know, just a whole bunch of stuff factor in. Just speed is what comes naturally to me."

Turner led Michigan with 10 pass breakups last season.

He should get plenty of reps over the next few months as Chidobe Awuzie continues recovering from his torn ACL.
