CINCINNATI — Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow might not be on the practice field, but he's still involved in training camp.

The 26-year-old is still lifting weights, watching film and in all of his meetings, despite recovering from a calf strain.

He suffered the injury on Thursday, July 27. Burrow has been walking around on his own, but he hasn't attended a practice. Instead, he stays at Paycor Stadium to get treatment and work out on his own.

"It's a better time," head coach Zac Taylor said. "There's no one else in there. He gets a chance to rehab, do some stuff in the weight room. It's good."

Burrow isn't expected to miss any regular season games, but fans shouldn't expect to see him on the practice field anytime soon.

Taylor says the star quarterback will be out "several weeks."
