Jordan Schultz on Tee Higgins Trade Request: Bengals Haven't Presented 'Fair' Deal, Expect to Play on Franchise Tag in 2024
CINCINNATI — The Bengals are facing a trade request from franchise-tagged wide receiver Tee Higgins, but Bleacher Report's Jordan Schultz doesn't think the team will trade him.
Higgins is slated to make $21.8 million on the tag and is reportedly wanting out of Cincinnati due to stalled negotiations.
"So now you start to think about if you're Tee Higgins, 'What's my future here?'" Schultz said on FS1's Speak this week. "We know we have to pay Ja'Marr Chase. We've already paid Joe Burrow, 'Where do I fit in?' And that's where that trade request came. And I think the tag is fine. I would anticipate that he plays on the tag. I don't think he's going to be traded.
"It's my understanding that it would take about a two (second-round pick) maybe a three to get him. So let's say you're Carolina or Tennessee, those are the two best fits for me."
