Tee Higgins Fails to Record a Catch For Second Time in NFL: 'What we Just Displayed, That's Not Us'
CINCINNATI — The Bengals took it on the chin 24-3 against Cleveland to open the 2023 season. Tee Higgins was largely absent from the game after posting zero catches on eight targets, the most targets in any game of his career without a catch.
The wide receiver discussed the rough showing postgame.
"That what we just displayed, that's not us," Higgins said. "We all know that in the locker room, defense played their ass off and defense played good enough to where if we would've executed on offense we would be in the game. So hats off to them but on the offensive side communication and not executing."
In the only other game Higgins never caught a pass in as an NFL player, Cincinnati also scored just three points (38-3 loss to Baltimore to close the 2020 season).
"Just gotta come back and bounce back and do what we do best," Higgins said.
