Ja'Marr Chase Reacts to Joe Burrow's Practice Return: ‘When Joe's Out There It's a Little More Dialed In’

Chase and Burrow are one of the most potent WR-QB duos in the NFL.

CINCINNATI — The Bengals' top player returned to practice on Wednesday, prompting an all-smiles media session from star wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase. Joe Burrow is back on the field as he keeps recovering from a July 27 calf strain.

Chase discussed how it felt to get the QB back for the offense.

"He didn't really do as much today always working into it your first day back," Chase said, "Just getting a feel for your reps again, steps again, your timing. Stuff like that, so it's just a matter of time until we get the reps on the field and the rest of the week back together."

Chase and Burrow are arguably the top QB-WR pairing in the NFL and now get a week-plus of practice to spark their timing back up before a divisional battle against the Browns to start the season.

"When Joe's out there it's a little more dialed in," Chase explained. "He's more quicker in reaction time in what he wants to do and how he sees the play."
