His dad and Burfict have a history.

CINCINNATI — Former Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict did a double take this weekend when he saw Joey Porter Jr. answer a question on NFL Network.

The Steelers' 2023 draft pick and son of former Steelers linebacker Joey Porter said the first thing that comes to mind as a Steelers fan growing up was Burfict.

Porter Sr. famously got involved in an altercation with the Bengals as a Steelers coach during the 2016 Wild Card Game won by Pittsburgh. Porter entered the field after Burfict landed a nasty hit on wide receiver Antonio Brown.
