AJ McCarron Working Out for Bengals on Saturday

This is interesting.
In this story:

CINCINNATI — The Bengals are working out AJ McCarron on Saturday. With Joe Burrow nursing a calf injury and Jake Browning the only healthy quarterback on the roster, Cincinnati is at least taking a look at the former Alabama star.

McCarron is one of two quarterbacks working out for the Bengals on Saturday. They're also working out Trace McSorely.

This doesn't mean Burrow won't play on Monday night. It does mean the Bengals are looking for a long-term solution at quarterback behind Burrow and Jake Browning with Will Grier no longer in the building.

UPDATE: Bengals Sign AJ McCarron After Workout

The Bengals took McCarron in the fifth round (164th overall) in the 2014 NFL Draft. He spent four seasons in Cincinnati. He's also played for the Bills, Raiders, Texans and Falcons.

McCarron most recently played for the St. Louis Battlehawks in the XFL. He completed 203 of 295 attempts for 2,150 yards and 24 touchdowns against six interceptions in nine games.
