Bengals Re-Signing Linebacker Akeem Davis-Gaither
CINCINNATI — The Bengals are signing linebacker Akeem Davis-Gaither to a one-year, $3 million contract according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.
The former fourth round pick has spent the first four years of his career in Cincinnati.
He appeared in 13 games for the Bengals last season, finishing with 17 tackles. He's played in 54 career games, racking up 122 tackles, one interception and two quarterback hits.
Davis-Gaither is a big part of Darrin Simmons' special teams unit. He'll serve as the Bengals' third linebacker behind Germaine Pratt and Logan Wilson.
