Ja'Marr Chase Makes 'Guess' Regarding Joe Burrow's Status for Monday Night Football

The star wide receiver hasn't been shy about his feelings regarding Burrow's health.
In this story:

CINCINNATI — The Bengals are hopeful that Joe Burrow will be able to play on Monday night against the Rams,

The 26-year-old was a limited participant in practice on Friday, but Ja'Marr Chase doesn't seem to be holding out hope that Burrow will suit up. He doesn't want his star quarterback to play unless he's 100%, which won't be the case by Monday.

Chase doesn't know if Burrow will play, but he did make a guess on Friday.

"If I had to guess, I would say no. I would say no because I been told him no," Chase told reporters. "I told him back then 'don't play until you're 100% ready to play.' I don't know what he's doing."

Burrow is doing everything he can to make sure he's ready for Monday's game. He knows how important it is, especially with an 0-2 record.

"It's in my head for sure. I'm thinking about it," Burrow said of the Bengals' winless record impacting his thought process. "It's obviously tough whenever you have an injury. Whenever you start 0-2 it's obviously not ideal. That's the adversity of the season. That's the ups and downs of the year. The teams that come out on top at the end of it are the teams that handle that adversity the best. You can't let that snowball on you. That's what we've done in past. If you go back and look year to year to teams that are still in it at the end everybody has adversity at some point of the year. Everybody stinks at some point according to the media. We're just going to sit here and continue to get better. We're going to have good practices. We're going to take it week-by-week and that's all you can do."

The Bengals won back-to-back games after starting 0-2 last season. If they're going to rebound this season, they may have to do it without their best player.
