CINCINNATI — Joe Burrow wont go through his normal pregame routine ahead of the Bengals preseason matchup with the Falcons on Friday night.

The 26-year-old didn't travel with the team and is still in Cincinnati, sources tell All Bengals.

Burrow didn't make the trip to Atlanta, but don't be alarmed. He's still rehabbing and getting his normal treatment in Cincinnati. Rather than disrupting his schedule, the team kept him in town.

Kelsey Conway of the Cincinnati Enquirer was the first to report that Burrow didn't travel to Atlanta.

It's normal for injured players to stay in town while they recover.

The Bengals are optimistic about Burrow's chances of being ready for the start of the regular season on Sept. 10. He hasn't practiced since suffering a right calf strain on July 27.
